The Deccan Alternative Music Conference and Showcase is Neon’s annual flagship event - A travelling, boutique event that unpacks and discovers the music scene of a different city each year.

 

Our vision with DeccanAlt is to build an ecosystem of artists, music business professionals and other stakeholders who will grow to collaborate, share knowledge, access and information rather than working in silos over time like we are so used to! Designed by and for the emerging, independent Indian music industry, for a better shared future.

The inaugural edition took place in Neon's home city Bangalore in 2024, and we travelled to the port city Kochi for the sophomore edition of DeccanAlt in 2025. Where will we head to for 2026 and beyond?
